There is one more ...Nice history of the Githyanki. There is one more source that was omitted. Dungeon #125, August 2005. The adventure is called Seekers of the Silver Forge by Tim Hitchcock. I was looking for an underwater adventure for my campaign, and this one was perfect. It was even more perfect since it included the continuing saga of the Githyanki. In my campaign, the Githyanki had already been vexing my PC's. The ending result was winning over the Githyanki to be allies of my PC's, and they were rewarded with Silver Swords to boot.

Because of this article, A Comprehensive Look At the Githyanki, it helped me give more detail of the Silver Swords that my PC's have. Thank you for this article.

JDWJDnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-422181426312081107.post-34158988289800394232019-12-24T09:49:04.560-08:002019-12-24T09:49:04.560-08:00Into the Silver Realm was the Adventure that made ...Into the Silver Realm was the Adventure that made me love the Gith races. Seeing as how some of the authors of some of the books in that series were R.A. Salvatore and Michael Stackpole (two people heavily associated with RPGs, and D&D in particular) I can believe this, if for nothing else than their basic look, and the fact that they are on a 'jihad' against something they despise (Thinking Machines for then, Mind Flayers for the Gith).

Matter of fact, since I have stats for the Yuzzahn Vong thanks to one of the d20 Star Wars supplements, I could introduce them as the 'Third Race of Gith' in D&D, but maybe giving them a hatred against Arcane/Divine magic instead (relying only on Psionics [whatever system to represent that you use]).Chup@Cabrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07251437260952396688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-422181426312081107.post-1004665816525557352015-03-05T08:42:25.839-08:002015-03-05T08:42:25.839-08:00Love it! Great retrospective/analysis.

I love seeing how the Githyanki evolved over the years.
I do have to admit that the cover of "Tales of the Outer Plans" is the worst, but loved the art for them in 4e and 5e. Though nothing is quite as iconic as that Fiend Folio cover.

Great job!Timothy S. Brannanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02923526503305233715noreply@blogger.com
